We read every message. Response time is usually within a couple of days.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password, enter the email address you used to register, and follow the link we email you. The reset link expires 15 minutes after we send it — if it expires, just request another one.
noreply@wordclub.ai to your contacts so future emails go to your inbox.Open the app, tap Account from the home screen, then tap Edit Profile (for nickname and avatar) or Change Password. Your nickname and avatar show up to other players in online games; your email stays private.
Open the app, tap Account, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. You'll see a confirmation dialog. Once you confirm:
Account deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. See our privacy policy for full details.
Most likely your email isn't verified yet. Look for an email from noreply@wordclub.ai titled "Verify your Crossword Club email" and tap the link inside. If the email expired, sign in anyway and you'll get a "resend verification email" button.
You don't need an account for offline play. From the home screen, tap Play vs AI, pick a difficulty, and start. Your solo games are saved locally on your device and will sync to the cloud if you sign in later.
They're two different word lists used in tournament play:
Pick whichever matches how you play. You can change the word list per-game before starting, and your choice is remembered across devices if you're signed in.
Drag your finger across the letters of the word. A definition dialog pops up. If the definition mentions another word you don't know, tap it to dig deeper — definitions stack up to six levels so you can follow a word trail.
Almost always no — the AI is restricted to the same word list you're using (CSW or TWL06), so if it played a word, it's valid in that list. Tap the word to see its definition. If you still think it's invalid, email us the screenshot and we'll investigate.
The invite links only open the app automatically on devices where Crossword Club is already installed. If your friend doesn't have the app yet, the link takes them to a landing page where they can get the app and see the room code to type in manually. Once they install and sign up, they can open the link again and we'll drop them straight into your room.
Turn notifications only fire when you're not actively looking at the game screen (otherwise they'd be annoying). If you expect one and it didn't arrive:
Yes. On the waiting screen before starting the game, tap Add Bot and pick a difficulty. You can add up to five bots (six players total including yourself). Mix bots and human friends however you like.
Their turn timer keeps running. If they don't come back before it expires, their turn is skipped and the game continues. We'll try to reconnect them automatically — tell them to open the app again and tap the game from their list of active games.
No. Crossword Club has no advertising, no analytics SDKs, no tracking, and no third-party data sharing beyond what's strictly needed to run the game (Apple/Google for push notifications, Resend for account emails, Apple for in-app purchases if we ever add them). Full details in our privacy policy.
Our servers are in the Netherlands. All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes, and backups are encrypted at rest.
Everything we store about you is visible inside the app — your profile on the Account screen, your full game history on the History tab. If you want a machine-readable export (JSON), email support@rella.im and we'll send you one within a few days.
Two options, both work:
Include your device model (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro), your iOS or Android version, and the steps we should take to reproduce the bug.
We love feature ideas. Send them to support@rella.im — we read everything and if something comes up repeatedly, it gets on the roadmap.
Tap Update — we periodically push new features and bug fixes, and sometimes we bump the minimum required version for security. Updates come through your device's App Store.
Make sure your device is on Wi-Fi or cellular data and that you can load other websites. If other things work but Crossword Club can't connect, check api.wordclub.ai/health — it should return "ok". If it doesn't, our server is having an issue and we're probably already on it.
